The Student Admission Council (SAC) was established by the Rice University Admission Office to provide first-hand information to high school students and their families about college in general and Rice in particular. The significance of the SAC lies in its make-up of students. The purpose of this blog is to provide information to prospective students about academics, campus life, research opportunities, the residential colleges, and faculty-student interaction. We post between 3-4 times per week during the school year, with exceptions made for breaks.
Our bloggers represent a broad array of backgrounds and experiences and can share their stories about their differing academic interests, extracurricular positions, and daily habits. A full list of our bloggers, with contact information and links to all their previous posts, can be found on the Meet the Bloggers tab. All of our bloggers can be contacted via email with any follow-up questions you have. Also, if you’re interested in any particular topics, each post is categorized and tagged for your ease of navigation.
We hope this will help you get to know our community and provide useful information as you navigate your college search. Please read our posts, explore our useful links, and learn about what makes Rice such a special place. We hope you enjoy the Rice University Admission Blog.
